How do you add samples to your keyboard?

how do you add samples of songs to your keyboard? i was planning on
buying a sample (akai mpc 500) but i saw someone playing sampled
tracks from their keyboard and was wondering how to do it. please, any
help would be greatly appreciated! thanks. =)
